Sesshu Toyo was born in Okayama Prefecture and moved to Yamaguchi after practicing at shokoku Ji Temple in Kyoto. After that I went to Ming and studied Chinese painting. Most of the existing works were highly valued in the establishment of the original ink painting style in Japan by Chinese style ink painting and landscape painting.
